Ordering From Maples X Mail
Our postage and handling fee is $9.50 for any quantity of plants, too anywhere in Australia. The packing process involves: removing the soil from the roots, wrapping them in damp paper and then packing the entire plant in rigid cardboard. All plants are sent via Australia Post, and our packing technique has proven to be reliable and produce excellent results.
Because of postal restrictions, the parcel (hence the plant) is limited to 1m in length (height). Generally, the upright varieties are around 1/2 to 2/3 meters in height when sent and the weepers around 1m in height. The heads of the weepers are approximately 20cm in diameter. Due to the flexibility of the branches, many plants can be quite happily "squashed" into the same package. All maples sent are 2nd year grafts and well "taken". The size they are sent also depends on the variety in question
Our mailing season is between mid May and mid August because this is when the plants are dormant (leafless). If you would like to order outside this period you may visit our nursery any time of the year. Please refer to the "contact us" page for more infomation.
