Acer palmatum dissectum - Ever-Red
Overview
The most distinguishing characteristic of Ever Red is the silvery hairs on its spring shoots, making the unfolding new growth appear almost grey. This is the only Acer palmatum dissectum that has this feature. The leaves of Ever Red are finely dissected, 12cm long and 10cm wide. As the name implies this cultivar will hold its red colour from spring, throughout summer and into autumn. This cultivar is similar to Crimson Queen and Garnet. Introduced by Koichiro Wada, Japan, 1938.
Unfortunately we have sold out of this variety, however Acer palmaturm "Crimson Queen" is a suitable substitute.
