I had two of these which I bought for taking cuttings for Bonsai, it is a perfect cultivar for that and the trees themselves are stunning, hardy, and easy to care for. The colour of new wood is stunning and the Autumn colour - provided it gets cold enough where you live - is magnificent. Highly recommended.
